Photo Metadata Conference

Need an excuse to go to Italy? Here’s a good one:

We invite you to discover creative solutions to improving your photo workflow at the first international Photo Metadata Conference on 7 June 2007, in Florence, Italy, in conjunction with the CEPIC Congress 2007. The Photo Metadata Conference will bring together major players from the photo business: creator and users, from freelance photographers to photo editors of global news providers; prominent maintainers of photo metadata standards; and the makers of cameras and imaging software. Together, we will analyse the current state of applying metadata to photos and learn how to achieve a seamless photo workflow—from the camera to the final photo that is seen by the end user. Our goal is to simplify the convergence and global applicability of photo metadata, and maximize the widespread and consistent implementation of standards — adding value to your photo business.
