Two Editions of Photoshop CS3

Posted on: 9 March 2007

Adobe announced today that coming Spring 2007 users will have a choice between Photoshop CS3 and Photoshop CS3 Extended. It looks like there are two main features that the Extended edition will have that the original Photoshop CS3 will not:

  1. 3D and motion support with the ability to edit 3D content and incorporate it into 2D compositions, paint and clone over multiple video frames, and more, and
  2. Comprehensive image analysis with new image measurement and counting tools.

The suggested user for this Extended edition includes:

  • Film, video, and multimedia professionals
  • Graphic and web designers using 3D and motion
  • Manufacturing professionals
  • Medical professionals
  • Architects and engineers (AEC professionals)
  • Scientific researchers
