Photographer of The Day

Posted on: 14 July 2007

Photo by Linda YvonneI came across not only some great nature photography but an excellent little story told through photographs. The story is The Adventures of Caroline and the photographer is Linda Hartong. Do check out the slideshow and while you’re at it take a look at some of the other marvelous photos Linda had posted. Her photos of Carmel Mission in Carmel, California are excellent. I love the way she captures the sunlight in many of the photos and creates a colorful scene with it. And if you like those photos, you also love the Carmel Cottages set. If you are an avid bird watcher, you will enjoy the many close-ups of a variety of birds. I am curious to know what kind of glass she uses on the Canon in order to get so close to the animals.

How does she do it? A brief look at the EXIF data in Flickr shows that Linda uses a Canon Rebel XT and a Fujifilm FinPix F10. She appears to do her photo editing in Adobe Photosho Elements 5.0. Proof that you do not need an expensive camera or fancy software to produce great works of art.
