What is Clarity Doing in Lightroom?

Posted on: 10 August 2007

Do you use the clarity slider in Adobe Photoshop Lightroom? I do. I like the way it gives many of my photos that little bit of punch that I’m looking for. I’ve never really paid much attention to how it does it or what’s going on behind the scenes…until now.

Matt Kloskowski in Adobe Photoshop Lightroom Killer Tips had a great little video that will show you how the clarity slider works to punch up the contrast on just the midtones in your photographs. It’s worth checking out if you want to understand the whys and hows of the tools you use.
