Manually Achieving a Soft Blur

Posted on: 21 August 2007

Ok. I’ve had a couple of articles on soft focus and how sometimes it’s nice to have your photos not so sharp.

Additionally, I referenced an article on the non-use of the Manual setting on your camera.

Today, I have something that kind of takes both of these in mind. I found an article on taking purposely unfocused photos. It’s a great idea for some very surreal-looking photos. The thing is this time you may want to use the Manual setting on your camera because otherwise it will continually be trying to focus on something and in this case, that’s not the look you will be going for.

Check it out. (via digital Photography School)
