The National Magazine Awards

Congratulations go to winners of the National Magazine Awards. 

…with circulation of two million or more, National Geographic won in the photojournalism category for work by John Stanmeyer on malaria in the third world….

…[Vanity Fair] also won in the photo portfolio category, for images showing current stars in re-created scenes from famous old films. The work was by Michael Roberts, its fashion and style director, and the photographer Annie Leibovitz, collaborating with Vilmos Zsigmond, a cinematographer.

…The design award went to Wired, and Gourmet won the photography prize.
