I love landscape photography. Additionally, I feel drawn to the ocean to meditate and capture the sun as it’s setting. Here is a great article from DPS on this very subject

Coastlines present the photographer with a wonderful array of photographic possibilities ranging from people shots on a crowded summer beach to more landscape oriented shots with waves crashing, ragged cliff faces and moody skies. The tips include:

  • Find a point of interest
  • Look for reflections
  • Foregrounds
  • Mix up the format of your shots
  • Movement
  • Color
  • Look for detail
  • Introduce a human element
  • Seasons and Tides
  • Turn around
